🦑 St Augustine’s Calamari — I Could Order Three Portions!
During my holiday trip to Florida, I visited the famous Harry’s Seafood in St. Augustine. As a longtime fried calamari lover, I order it at every seafood restaurant. After a full month of reflection since my visit, I’m officially declaring Harry’s version THE BEST fried calamari I’ve had in the U.S. — just thinking about it now makes my mouth water! 🤤 📖 Michael’s Order: 🦑 Fried Calamari: I used to rave about the calamari at Daily Catch in Boston’s North End… but Harry’s totally blew me away! 🫢 The coating is whisper-thin and crispy — almost like tempura — while the squid remains tender, bouncy, and slightly creamy. A hint of salt and pepper lets the natural sweetness shine. Even the fried asparagus on the side was amazing. 10/10 must-order! 🌟 🦀️ Crab Cake: A solid crab cake with tasty sauce — good, but not mind-blowing. As a Boston local, I’ve definitely had more memorable ones. Still enjoyable though! 🐟 Crab Crusted Red Fish: Imagine a flattened crab cake sitting on top of delicate red fish fillet, served with mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and a creamy sauce. This Harry-style entrée was delicious and unique — highly recommend! 🐠 🌾 Jambalaya: A classic New Orleans-style rice dish loaded with seafood and bacon, featuring Southern spices and tomatoes. A bit heavy for my taste, but perfect for sharing if you’re with a group! Overall, the seafood here is noticeably fresh 🎯. The Crab Crusted Red Fish was fantastic, and the Fried Calamari was truly unforgettable. A must-try if you’re in St. Augustine! They have multiple locations across Florida — not sure if the quality is consistent everywhere. 🍴 Harry’s Seafood, St. Augustine 💰 Around $65 per person #SeafoodLover #FoodReview #StAugustineEats #FloridaFood #BestCalamari #FoodieTravel #HarrysSeafood
