St. Louis | Gorgeous Maple Leaves Near Campus 🍁
The temperature dropped over ten degrees these past two days, feeling like we jumped straight into winter ❄️. Everyone on the street bundled up in thick coats, and the wind felt chilly on the face. Yet, on such a abruptly cold day, I stumbled upon a gentle gift from autumn 🍂. Today, I happened to pass by Washington University by car. When I looked out the window, the view along the road instantly caught my eye—the maple trees lining the streets were dyed in rich shades of red and gold. Some leaves were as bright as flames, others as warm as the sunset, layered beautifully and glowing vividly against the overcast sky 😍. As a breeze passed, the leaves swayed gently, as if waving softly to passersby 👋. That scene suddenly brightened my mood, even though I had just been thinking about hurrying home ✨. Despite the cold tempting me to stay indoors, those red leaves seemed to whisper, "Autumn isn’t over yet!" Looking at them, I remembered my childhood days out in the countryside with my family—it was the same season, the same stunning colors, and it made me so happy I wanted to run around freely 🏃♀️. At that moment, my desire for an autumn outing soared to its peak! I wanted to stop the car, wander slowly down paths covered with fallen leaves, listen to the rustling under my feet, and gaze up at the light filtering through the branches 🌞. Even just for a little while, it felt incredibly soothing. Sometimes, the most beautiful scenery isn’t somewhere far away—it might be right at the intersection we pass every day, discovered in one accidental glance. This autumn, thank you to these vibrant colors for offering us one last visual feast before the cold fully settles in 🎉. #StLouisAutumn #WashingtonUScenery #MapleLeavesTurningRed #CapturingNature #AutumnVibes #SeasonalGift #BeautyOnTheRoad
