Stop taking your kids to Alton Towers; Gulliver's is so much fun! π’π§π¦
The best place for family fun near Sheffield, hands down! π Transportation: Take the X5 from Sheffield Interchange, and you'll be there in about 25 minutes for just Β£2. If you drive, it's even more convenient, taking only 10-20 minutes from the city center. π π Admission: Around Β£20, with discounts for online booking. An annual pass is Β£99 per person, which is a great deal if you visit often, and it also gives you access to other Gulliver's parks across the UK. If you've been to Alton Towers, you know the struggle of walking for miles, long queues that drive you mad, and only getting to experience a few rides in a day. Gulliver's, while not as vast, is compact and efficient. The key is fewer crowds and no queues, making it highly enjoyable, and you can cover the whole park in a day. The park is divided into several distinct areas, each with its own unique style. In addition to the usual rides like the Dumbo, excavators, fire trucks, pirate ships, Ferris wheels, carousels, and caterpillar roller coasters, there's a dinosaur-themed Lost World, a car-themed area, and a new Western cowboy-themed area with shooting, horse riding, and rafting. The most fun is the interconnected maze rooms that can keep you entertained for hours, perfect for kids from kindergarten to elementary school. Highly recommended are the car-themed roller coaster and the dinosaur-themed raft ride, which are worth multiple visits. On hot days, you can also enjoy the super long water slide. Most rides are accessible for kids over 90 cm with an adult, while the big pendulum requires 120 cm. In addition to outdoor attractions, there are many indoor fun activities like bounce houses, trampolines, ball pits, and various role-play areas like hospitals, fire stations, and shops. My kids played from the 10 am opening until the 5 pm closing without stopping, and they didn't want to leave, exhausting me in the process. There's a restaurant at the park entrance, but it's just fast food like burgers and fries. There are pirate shows during meal times, which can be a bit noisy. #Sheffield Life #Sheffield FamilyFun #Sheffield Amusement Park
