Straight Talk After Visiting the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester
Finally made it to this so-called "kids’ paradise" over the weekend. Here’s what I really think: 1️⃣ Drive from Toronto was about 4 hours 🚗 – not bad at all. Address: Strong National Museum of Play, NY (just navigate directly). 2️⃣ Buy the annual pass if you’re with a group 💳! It’s less than $20 more and includes 6 free parking passes. For 1-2 people, a one-day ticket is enough. The high ropes course is fun – worth trying! 🧗♂️ But skip the butterfly garden 🦋 unless you really love insects – pretty boring. Save your $$! 3️⃣ Food options inside and nearby aren’t great 🍱. Bring your own snacks or meals – especially if you love Chinese food. Toronto’s food scene totally beats Rochester’s 😉. 4️⃣ Buy tickets at the front desk – it’s cheaper, and staff can explain pricing/options better. Avoid online booking – more expensive and less flexible. 5️⃣ One day is enough ⏳. Most exhibits are ideal for kids around 10 or younger. Older kids might only like the arcade games 🎮. Adults? You’ll be mostly accompanying (and trying not to doze off 😴). It’s tiring! ✅ Verdict: Since it’s close to Toronto, it’s a good option for a long weekend with young kids. But if your kids are older – skip it. They’ll likely be bored, and honestly, the drive + boredom isn’t worth it for parents. Hope this helps anyone planning a trip! 👍 #USA #Museum #RochesterNY #FamilyTrip #TravelTips #StrongMuseum #HonestReview
