Strasbourg's Enchanting Christmas Market Opens 🎄✨

The biggest anticipation of my European trip to three countries is the Strasbourg Christmas Market. I happened to catch the lighting ceremony on the 24th, and I downloaded the Guide from the Noel a Strasbourg website in advance. It's the largest and oldest market in Europe with a history of over 400 years, starting on the 24th and lasting until December 24th. The market is spread across the old town on Grande Île island, consisting of 11 market areas. The main markets are as follows: 🌟 La Place Kleber: The Christmas tree (30 meters tall and 10 meters wide) is lit up here, creating a full festive atmosphere. 🏰 Cathédrale Notre-Dame: The angel lights in front of the cathedral, accompanied by the sound of bells and folk music, are incredibly dreamy. 🎠 La Place de la Cathédrale: The carousel (with puppets) where I captured a little kid crying on the carousel 🥹 🍷 La Place Broglie: The hub for food, drink, and fun at the Christmas market. Hot wine, various desserts, hot chocolate, crepes, foie gras burgers, oysters, and seafood - over 300 little wooden hut vendors. The market features traditional Alsatian dishes from the French region and German wines, as well as various handmade crafts and Christmas decorations. 🚣‍♂️ La Place Benjamin Zix: A stroll along the river leads you to the famous "Petite France," a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most beautiful waterside area in Strasbourg. Divided by the river into the old town and the new town, you can take a boat tour or a guided train tour to see the old and new towns in 40 minutes: a colorful array of medieval buildings by the canal, a creation of French and German influences. #ChristmasTree #ChristmasCapital #OffTheBeatenPath #RomanticLifeDocumenter #StrasbourgCathedral #StrasbourgTravel #France #ChristmasLighting #EuropeanChristmasMarkets #FrenchMarkets #France #StrasbourgFood #ChristmasMarket #Strasbourg #FranceExploration
