Strolling in Kyoto's Nanajo District πΈπΆββοΈ
πΊπΏπ From the hotel near Kyoto Station, take a short stroll to the Nanajo and Kamogawa area. The morning by the Kamogawa River is a perfect spot for exercise and contemplation. πΏ πΊπΏπ π By chance, while looking at the map, I noticed that Sanjusangendo is nearby. The Buddhist hall is divided into 33 bays by pillars on the front, πΊπΏπ with the central statue known as "Eleven-Faced Thousand-Armed Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara". Hence, it's commonly referred to as "Sanjusangendo". π―π πΊπΏπ The construction and restoration of this hall have spanned over 700 years, bearing the imagination and exquisite craftsmanship of our ancestors. πΊπΏπ Across the street, the Kyoto National Museum is currently closed, with only two gardens open to the public. π³πΊ During the autumn leaf season, it's also a time for leisurely strolls. πΊπΏπ Kyoto in the fall is filled with scenes where modernity and history blend beautifully. ππ° #AestheticsOfLife πΈ #KyotoJapan π #Sanjusangendo π―
