Stunning Coastal Hike Near Edinburgh ⛰️🌼🌊

📍 Location: St Abbs Nature Reserve ⛰️ 🚄 Getting There: From Edinburgh, take a 50-minute train to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Route: Edinburgh (Waverley) → Berwick-upon-Tweed 🎫 🚌 From the Train Station: Walk 4 mins to Bus Stop 235 (heading to St Abbs). The bus ride takes ~40 mins to St Abbs Visitor Centre ⚠️ Pro Tip: If the direct bus is delayed, take any 235 bus and walk 30 mins to the visitor center. 🌊 Hike Route: Start at the visitor center and follow the coastal path until you reach the halfway point Then, choose your return route: 🔹 Option 1: Retrace your steps along the scenic coastline. 🔹 Option 2: Take the flatter paved road back—passing sheep-filled meadows charming villages, and rolling green fields. (The sheep here are adorable and love munching grass—great for photos!) 📌 Important Notes: ✔️ Go on a sunny day! ☀️ ✔️ Dress warmly! The winds at the cliffs are BRUTAL—even in May, I wore a fleece + windbreaker and still got chilly. ❄️🧥 💬 Final Verdict: Absolutely breathtaking views—100% worth the trip! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨ #EdinburghHikes #ScotlandTravel #StAbbs #CoastalWalk #UKNature #HikingAdventures
