Sunshine Aquarium in Ikebukuro π
I went to the aquarium! Visiting on a weekday means you can buy tickets on-site without waiting in line. π« ππΈ The aquarium has two floors plus an outdoor area, but it's not very large overall. Ocean Journey On the first floor, the "Ocean Journey" section explores the ocean, which covers about 70% of the Earth's surface and is home to a vast array of marine life. ππΈ Here, you'll see various fish, corals, jellyfish, squids, and other invertebrates. The viewing areas are quite innovative, especially the jellyfish zone, which feels like you're watching a movie. You can quietly observe the jellyfish as they move, making you feel like you're in the ocean. π ππΈ If you take your time, you can finish the tour in about an hour and a half. When I visited, there was also a special exhibition on venomous creatures, which required a separate ticket. It was a bit underwhelming, so it's optional. ππΈ In the evening, there's a limited-time exhibition that might interest you. You can search for more details if you're curious. π One unique feature of this aquarium is the outdoor section where you can see penguins and pelicans overhead. They're really cute! π§ ππΈ #SunshineAquarium #Ikebukuro #Tokyo πππ
