Super Authentic Japanese Tsukemen and Mazesoba🔥Average $25

Japanese ramen is a foolproof choice for a weekday quick meal. In summer, I prefer Japanese tsukemen (dipping noodles) over hot soup noodles. For lunch, my colleague and I visited this super popular ramen spot that’s been trending on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book). 🍜 Mazesoba (Japanese Dry Noodles) A dry, non-soup noodle dish! It comes with a soft-boiled egg, pork char siu, dried bamboo shoots, and nori seaweed. Once you mix everything together, it’s absolutely perfect! Definitely a must-order. 🍜 Tokusei Tsukemen (Specialty Dipping Noodles) The signature tsukemen! Made with buckwheat noodles that have a firm, chewy texture. Dipping them into the rich, thick sauce is a paradise for those who love bold flavors! The restaurant also offers a variety of snacks, all around $10 (the menu is at the end). I highly recommend the takoyaki🐙—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they’re truly amazing! The fried squid and potato salad are pretty standard, while the cold tofu and edamame are refreshing and help cut through the richness. 💕Overall, the flavors are on the salty and oily side.⚠️ If you have a light palate, you might need some time to adjust. For those who like spicy food, definitely add the chili powder on the table! Sprinkling it into the dipping sauce or on the noodles creates an instant explosion of flavor. 💕There are branches in San Francisco and the Peninsula. The one in the Bay Area is located in downtown San Mateo, making it a perfect spot for a solo meal after work. It’s always busy on weekends, so you can reserve a spot on Yelp’s waitlist in advance. #BayAreaFood #JapaneseCuisine #BayAreaRamen #JapaneseRamen #SoloEating
