Super fun family farm in Connecticut, USA - Silverman’s Farm!
The best way to enjoy the American countryside in autumn is to visit various farm activities! Silverman’s Farm is the perfect place to pick apples and buy pumpkins this season! The traditional autumnal cider drink and the recommended dessert, Cider Donut, are definitely worth a try. The farm’s market has a lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, and desserts that are worth a visit! 🍎🦆🐏🐐🍩🎃 There’s so much to see at this farm, the kids are going wild!! 🍎🎃🛻🚚🚛 Apple Orchards First, queue up to buy tickets: Entry is $5 per person Free for under 5s One bag is $15 🛻🚚🚛 Apples are picked on the hill, so you need to take a tractor to the mountain. My little one loved it and was super excited. The pumpkin patch is at the foot of the mountain; if you want to buy, you can take a cart and choose your favorite ones to load. We brought a wagon with us that day. I was worried we wouldn’t be allowed to take it up the mountain, so I asked the staff, “What about my wagon, can I take it with me?” The staff was very nice and said, “Of course!” but actually, if your visit includes picking apples on the mountain, it’s not recommended to bring a wagon as it’s very inconvenient! Once we were up the mountain, we left the wagon at the entrance because picking apples involves a lot of climbing and moving around; it’s impossible to drag a wagon! The plastic bags provided by the apple orchard can be filled as much as you can carry. My husband likes picking the big ones and got excited to show off his finds to me, but we quickly ran out of space. I wanted to spank him for fun 😂 Tip: Bring wet wipes as kids usually want to eat the apples right away, so I cleaned one for him to hold and eat. You can eat as much as you like inside the farm 😋 🐐🐏🦆 Animal Farm After coming down from the mountain, we went to the animal farm. The entrance fee was $7 per person, including children, so we spent$21 for three tickets. We found out after buying the tickets that no one was checking them at the entrance; many people went in without buying tickets, which was a bit of a joke 🤣 The animal farm is quite large, almost like a small zoo, with a playground to enjoy. The kids were excitedly screaming and shouting. They’ve built a high bridge for the goats, which is fun to watch them walk across. Overall, highly recommended. It’s best to go during the week as it was very crowded when we went on the weekend. #Connecticut #ConnecticutCheckIn #ConnecticutEats #ConnecticutDesserts #Conneticut #USAConnecticut #USA #USATravel #NewYork
