Super poplar Southeast Asian Restaurant in NY--WAU
1️⃣ Charred Lobster Tail with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce 🦞 The succulent lobster is so plump that even the spoon can hardly support it! The meat is firm and full, with minced garlic on top to enhance the flavor. The noodles are rich in salted egg yolk flavor, reminiscent of Singapore's Irvins chips, but unfortunately, they lack a bit of fragrance. 2️⃣ Penang Fish 🐟 I basically ate this dish all by myself! The tender fish is boneless, and the skin is fried to a perfect crisp. The sauce underneath is Thai-style sour and spicy; a bit more heat would make it even more delicious! 3️⃣ Salt & Pepper Young Coconut 🥥 I was amazed as soon as I took a bite! The crispy exterior and the soft, chewy coconut meat create a wonderful contrast. Whether dipped in chili sauce or paired with the salty and spicy side dishes, it's incredibly tasty~ 4️⃣ Roti Telur 🥘 The egg pancake is on the thicker side, full of egg flavor. If you're looking for a crispy texture, you might want to order Roti Canai. The salty and rich curry sauce is well-loved and used to dip many dishes. 5️⃣ Lychee Crème Brûlée 🍮 The cool and refreshing pudding melts in your mouth with a gentle touch. The top layer has a thin layer of caramelized sugar, and the aftertaste is incredibly rich with egg and milk flavors, which pairs wonderfully with the sweet lychee! Compared to tiramisu, we all prefer this dish more. 💛WAU 📍434 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024 #WAU# New York# food diary
