Hiking in Okutama is a popular day trip from Tokyo. The classic route is from Kururi Station to Okutama Station, covering about 8 kilometers. π For an easier option, you can start from the middle station, Hatonomine Station, to Okutama Station, which is just 4 kilometers. π πThe photos were taken from Hatonomine to Okutama. πThe scenery isn't particularly surprising, but it's definitely a great route for a relaxing hike: the air is fresh, the water quality is excellent (though swimming is not allowed), and the facilities are well-developed. π Along the way, the Japanese people you meet will warmly greet you. πΊ To get there, take the JC Line from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo (enter through the green JR line and find the JC Line platform). π The journey takes a little over two hours and costs around 1,200 yen. π #OkutamaLake π
