Taking the Bus to Cancun's Night Market for a Foodie Adventure!

Cancun's night market is absolutely amazing—so local and lively that I went four days in a row! 🎉 Even spotted a hotel lobby boy bringing his girlfriend here after work, haha! 🚌 Getting There: I stayed in the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera). Almost every hotel has a bus stop out front. Look for R-1 buses—just wave and they’ll stop. 12 pesos per ride (super cheap!). Tell the driver: "Centro de Cancun" or "Parque de las Palapas" (many don’t speak English, but they’ll nod if it’s the right bus). Pay when you board. Pro tip: Buses run even past midnight—super reliable! Drivers won’t overcharge, and some even remind you when to get off. Still, keep Google Maps open to avoid missing your stop. 🌮 Night Market & Market 23: Once you arrive, it’s all about the food! Both locals and tourists pay the same prices, and most stalls list costs clearly. Must-visit! Bonus: Vendors selling handmade crafts (no fixed stalls) can be haggled down hard—go low! Market 23 (near the night market) is a local gem for fresh fruit and souvenirs. Prices are fair (not much room to bargain). Coconuts: 25 pesos each! 🥥 #TravelTips #CancunEats #NightMarket #FoodieHeaven #BudgetTravel #LocalExperience #MexicoTravel #Wanderlust
