Tangier – Where the Mediterranean Meets the Atlantic
As someone deeply in love with the sea, how could I not fall for Tangier, the crossroads of two oceans? 🌊 Why Tangier? Azure waters, endless horizons – the views are breathtaking. Affordable seafood feasts – nature’s generous gift to food lovers. 🍽️ Must-Try Restaurants 1️⃣ Restaurant Bachir Hidden in the medina’s alleys, recommended by locals. Fresh sea bass, langoustines, seafood stew – all for just ¥50 RMB! 2️⃣ Restaurant Remeo Tiny but packed – stumbled upon it by chance. Grilled Rouget (red mullet) , the freshest I’ve ever tasted. 📸 Mixed-Bag Attractions ✅ Cape Spartel Where the Mediterranean and Atlantic collide – iconic lighthouse (featured on Morocco’s 200-Dirham note). ❌ Café Hafa Overhyped: "Dirty, chaotic… regret going and skipping." 🚫 Hercules Cave Too far, mediocre reviews – skipped it. 🏨 Hidden Gem: Riad Stay Upgraded to a suite – spacious, serene, with a private butler who offered midnight drinks (knowing we’d been deprived of alcohol elsewhere!). Moroccan rosé (rosé marocaine d’estival) – surprisingly good! 🍷 The Alcohol Dilemma Most of Morocco is dry (for religious reasons), but hotels often serve discreetly. Pro tip: Grab some grilled meat + smuggled wine for a balcony feast. #Tangier #MoroccoTravel #SeafoodParadise #HiddenGems
