Tapestries as Exquisite as Murals | Paris Museum of the Middle Ages

🥹I don’t know if it counts as a relatively niche museum. 👍From the outside, this medieval museum looks like half-ruined ancient remains and half-an-old castle hotel—both are true. 🧩Originally a Roman bathhouse, it fell into disrepair and was repurposed. It wasn’t until the 15th/16th century that it was purchased and redesigned into a luxury hotel. But now it has been turned into a medieval museum, housing many religious-themed, somewhat dull-looking medieval sculptures, stained-glass windows, and the like. 🌹However, the treasure of this museum is the dozens of exquisitely beautiful and very well-preserved large tapestries.
