Tasmania Day 5|Launceston Citywalk 🌌
Launceston feels blissfully quiet—far fewer people than Hobart, making it perfect for escaping the hustle. The upside? Starry night skies ✨ that city lights usually drown out. Locals are warm too! A bearded grandpa noticed me looking lost with my phone and eagerly helped (though as an introvert, I could’ve done without the chatty Uber drivers… 😅). 🏠 Accommodation: Chose a charming white cottage with vintage vibes, a backyard lawn, and a lemon tree in the corner. At 11 PM, a flock of birds staged a screechy "conference" overhead—wildlife charm to me, horror movie material to my mom. 🦜🌙 🛝 Riverbend Park (near our stay): A parent’s dream—loads of kid-friendly play zones by age group. While kids burn energy, adults can stroll along the river, admiring the neatly aligned hillside houses (so satisfying for OCD souls!). 🚶♀️ Exploring Further: Tramway Museum: Short but sweet heritage train ride 🚂. QVMAG Museum: Kid-friendly with interactive exhibits (great for families!). ⛲️ City Park: Gatecrashing failed due to a festival (tickets needed). Plan B? Croissant + coffee at a nearby café ☕️🥐—sunshine therapy! ✈️ Airport Surprise: Grabbed a delicious beef pie before flying out. Overheard Shanghainese from an elderly couple—proof that "Mom, life is a prairie… and the prairie is full of Chinese people!" 🇨🇳🌾 #Launceston #WorldTravel #HiddenGems #TravelDiaries #Australia #StreetPhotography #OffTheBeatenPath
