🍣 Taste of the Ocean|Napa
A new Japanese restaurant opened downtown earlier this year — I went during their soft opening! Their fish supplier also works with Morimoto 🐟. The sashimi was incredibly fresh: salmon and tuna melted in your mouth, zero fishy taste. My favorite was the lightly torched sea bream. The uni (sea urchin) gunkan was sweet and super satisfying 🧡. The tempura was just okay — the batter felt a bit oily and under-seasoned. Some people discovered this place by chance downtown and decided to give it a try 🍴; others came because they’d been to their Bay Area location and wanted to celebrate the Napa branch’s opening.
