How is the Hottest Afro-Caribbean Cuisine in New York? Rating: 3.5/5 📍 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 🌟Average Cost: $100+ 🌟 This has to be one of the hardest restaurants to book in New York. It’s really that tough, and my expectations were sky-high before I even walked in 🚀. First, let’s talk about the decor. The floor is made of granite patterned marble, which looks a lot like the floor in my college dorm room during my freshman year 😂. The table legs are brass, and these two colors just don’t go well together. But hey, we’re here for the food, not the decor 🍽️. 🌟 The goat patties were amazing. The puff pastry was filled with tender, slow-cooked goat meat. The highlight was the sauces—a mango chutney and an aioli—that added a tangy-sweet flavor to the otherwise plain puff pastry edges. It was a nice touch 🌟. The egusi dumplings were just okay. They were filled with crab meat, which could be called “crab potstickers” in Chinese, but they were far from the delicious potstickers I’ve had back home. 🥟 #NewYork 🌆
