Teppanyaki Akasaka Steakhouse ๐
Located upstairs in the ANA Intercontinental Hotel, we chose the middle-tier set menu. ๐๐ธ It was pouring rain in Tokyo that day, but we arrived right on time at 11:30, being the first batch of diners. After confirming our names, they helped us with our coats. The host led us to a spot with a perfect view of Tokyo Tower. After an English introduction to the menu, we were ready to start our meal! ๐๐ธ The first dish had a nice texture but was a bit salty. It went well with the non-alcoholic rosรฉ sparkling water. We chose the two types of meat shown in the picture to share. The fattier one was very flavorful at first bite, but it got increasingly greasy as we ate more. ๐๐ธ Personally, I preferred the leaner one. It would have been less greasy with some umeboshi (pickled plum). Later, we had grilled vegetables, pan-fried green gluten blocks (?), stir-fried garlic and basil (?) rice, which was also very fragrant, miso soup, and finally, green tea and dessert. Overall, the meal was a bit greasy and salty. It would have been better if the dessert was cooler and more refreshing. The service was truly excellent in every aspect. They even proactively took photos of us at the scenic spot, which was really nice and thoughtful. ๐๐ธ I would definitely recommend this place for those who want to experience Japanese teppanyaki. #JapaneseTeppanyaki ๐๐
