Thanksgiving Feast in the Village — Pan D’Olive
I thought spending Thanksgiving in the village would mean only having Chinese food, but surprisingly, a friend invited me to an Italian restaurant—what a lovely surprise! 😊 The most appealing dish was the Lamb Shank, tender and flavorful, though the chef was a bit heavy-handed with the salt today… a few bites were overly salty. 😅 We ordered three appetizers: mussels, snails, and fried calamari. They were tasty but fairly standard. The calamari was quite satisfying—thick, generous pieces! 🦑 For the main course, besides the lamb shank, we tried the Thanksgiving special: turkey with vegetable hash, roasted asparagus and carrots, biscuit with gravy, and cranberry sauce. It was pleasant overall, and my friend said the turkey with cranberry sauce was surprisingly good! The steak (likely filet mignon) served with mashed potatoes and melted cheese was truly delicious. 🥩 We also ordered a pasta dish—tube-shaped pasta stuffed with meat and covered in sauce. How could that not be tasty? 😋 For dessert, we had hazelnut tiramisu (an innovative twist, but well done), pistachio gelato (I’ve had better, so it was just okay), and a lemon cake (tangy and light, not too sweet). 🍰 This was my second visit here. The food is solid, and they have their own specialties—a slightly upscale Italian spot with charm. ❤️ Spending Thanksgiving like this truly felt heartwarming. #ThanksgivingFeast #ItalianCuisine #LambShank #TurkeyDinner #DessertTime #FoodJournal #CozyMeal
