The annual NC State Fair in North Carolina is a fantastic spot
Every October in Cary, North Carolina, the N.C. State Fair is a must-attend event!! Itβs a rare entertainment gem in the village π’π₯Ή π Dates: October 17 - October 27 π« Ticket Price: Buying tickets on-site costs $13πͺ per person Location: You can drive from Duke to the free parking lot π ΏοΈ at Carter-Finely Park and Ride (just follow the directions), usually about a half-hour drive. On Saturdays, there are concerts and heavy traffic. We parked at a Wendyβs next to a gas station β½οΈ and paid $40πͺ for parking. ππ π Amusement Park Ride Prices: You need to buy Credits to play the games. Larger attractions usually cost 6-8 Credits, like the Ferris wheel π‘ and large slides π. Smaller attractions might be 3 Credits. I bought a rechargeable card where you can add 9, 19, or 29 Credits at a time, with a $1πͺ fee for each top-up. If you plan to play a lot of games, itβs better to buy a wristband. π’π³ π Cable Car: A one-way ticket is $7πͺ and a round-trip ticket is$10πͺ, which can take you across half of the venue. π π° πΉ Food & Drink: The apple cider drink is quite tasty, just like apple juice π§. There are lots of snacks! Go with an empty stomach. The Medium fries are super filling. ππ₯€ π Highly Recommended: The nearby Village of Yesteryear, with many shops selling handicrafts, is super fun to browse around π€©π€©! #ThisIsTheBestPlaceToPlay #PerfectDatingSpot #WhereToGoInNorthCarolinaOnWeekends #DukeUniversity #NorthAmericanLife #WeekendVibes #Raleigh #NorthCarolina #AmusementPark #TempleFair
