The Avery Hotel in Boise 🏨✈️

Back in Boise — the big city in the Potato State! 🥔 This time, I stayed at The Avery, a recently renovated boutique hotel downtown. The design is full of thoughtful touches — like vintage-style bronze elevator doors and handrails 🛗✨. Right at the entrance, there’s a snack and coffee station for guests ☕🍬. At check-in, the front desk kindly reminded us that only water and coffee in the room are free — snacks and sodas are charged. Pro tip: if you’re craving something, just head to the grocery store across the street for better prices! 🛒💡 If you stay on the second floor, you’ll find a cozy lounge right outside the elevator with books, magazines, and cool vintage hotel artifacts like old guest registration books 📚🖋️. The room was a bit small, and soundproofing wasn’t the best — but luckily, the guests were respectful and quiet. If you’re sensitive to noise, maybe request a higher floor. You could hear music from the restaurant downstairs on the second level. 🎵🔇 Shoutout to the French restaurant on the first floor — also called The Avery. Even if you’re not staying here, it’s worth stopping by for a drink 🍷. I noticed several women dining solo comfortably. The service was warm but not intrusive — they gave guests their space 🧡. I ordered the lamb pasta and seared scallops with pork belly — both were delicious! 🍝🐖 Over the past few years, I’ve visited friends in Idaho multiple times, and it’s clear — Boise is getting expensive quickly 💸📈.
