The Avery Hotel in Boise π¨βοΈ
Back in Boise β the big city in the Potato State! π₯ This time, I stayed at The Avery, a recently renovated boutique hotel downtown. The design is full of thoughtful touches β like vintage-style bronze elevator doors and handrails πβ¨. Right at the entrance, thereβs a snack and coffee station for guests βπ¬. At check-in, the front desk kindly reminded us that only water and coffee in the room are free β snacks and sodas are charged. Pro tip: if youβre craving something, just head to the grocery store across the street for better prices! ππ‘ If you stay on the second floor, youβll find a cozy lounge right outside the elevator with books, magazines, and cool vintage hotel artifacts like old guest registration books πποΈ. The room was a bit small, and soundproofing wasnβt the best β but luckily, the guests were respectful and quiet. If youβre sensitive to noise, maybe request a higher floor. You could hear music from the restaurant downstairs on the second level. π΅π Shoutout to the French restaurant on the first floor β also called The Avery. Even if youβre not staying here, itβs worth stopping by for a drink π·. I noticed several women dining solo comfortably. The service was warm but not intrusive β they gave guests their space π§‘. I ordered the lamb pasta and seared scallops with pork belly β both were delicious! ππ Over the past few years, Iβve visited friends in Idaho multiple times, and itβs clear β Boise is getting expensive quickly πΈπ. Really hoping it doesnβt turn into another Seattle... #Idaho #Boise #BoutiqueHotel #TravelIdaho #USATravel #Foodie #TheAveryHotel π₯
