π The Beloved Neighborhood of Tokyoites - Kichijoji π
ποΈ Neighborhood Name: Kichijoji π How to Get There: JR Chuo Line and Keio Inokashira Line to 'Kichijoji' Station π Area Scope: Kichijoji Honcho, Kichijoji Kitamachi, Kichijoji Higashimachi, Kichijoji Minamimachi, and parts of Musashino City π§ Neighborhood Introduction If you were to conduct a street interview with Tokyo residents, asking them which neighborhood they'd most like to live in, many would likely answer 'Kichijoji' (at least that was the case a few years ago). In 2016, TV Tokyo aired a highly acclaimed Japanese drama called "Is Kichijoji the Only Street You Want to Live In?", which is very entertaining. However, the show serves as a kind of 'reverse recommendation'. Many Tokyoites regard this place as their ideal residence, but the two protagonists want to convey that while Tokyo is vast and Kichijoji is great, it's not the only option. There are many other interesting neighborhoods worth exploring and experiencing. Compared to the previous introduction of Kiyosumi Shirakawa, the Kichijoji neighborhood is much larger in geographical scope and more diverse in its elements. It includes quality residential areas, metropolitan parks, as well as various small shops, dessert stores, small theaters, and more. For those who enjoy a Citywalk, it's highly explorable. #JapanTravel #TokyoTravel #TokyoStroll #TokyoCityWalk #TokyoNeighborhood #Kichijoji #KichijojiStroll #MitakaForestGhibliMuseum #DragonBoatFestivalTravelGuide #TokyoShopping #OffTheBeatenPathTravel
