The best Hainan chicken in New York! Super large portion only 13 bucks

A Malaysian auntie recommended this Malaysian restaurant to me—and let me tell you, local recommendations never miss! It’s super authentic and cheap—way better than Nyonya, in my opinion… 😋 🌟 Hainanese Chicken I order this every time I come! Half a chicken is only $13—such a steal! The meat is glossy and tender, and the soy sauce is so fragrant. The skin is bouncy too—so delicious! There’s plenty of meat, enough for two people to share. Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Salted Fish Fried Rice Vermicelli It has that amazing wok hei—so fragrant, so tasty! 🔥 The vermicelli is perfectly separated, no clumps at all. The crispy fried salted fish pairs with the vermicelli in such a unique, delicious way! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Bak Kut Teh The soup is okay, but it feels like it’s missing the pepper kick—something’s off. The tofu tasted a bit oily to me, but my partner didn’t notice. Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🥢 🌟 Curry Roti The roti is crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside—so good! Dipped in the chicken curry, it’s a solid combo. Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Seafood Scrambled Egg Noodles It’s like thickened broth with fried noodles—apparently a Malaysian specialty! One time I saw almost every table ordering it, so I followed suit 😂 It tastes good, but I’m still not used to the thickened sauce on noodles. Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Peanut Pancake The outside is crispy, like a scallion pancake, and the inside is stuffed with peanut crumbs 🥜—so yummy! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Vegetables “Four Heavenly Kings” has green beans, okra, eggplant, and petai (stinky beans). Petai is a Malaysian specialty, but I really can’t get used to the taste 😅 “Malaysian Scenery” is still my favorite—malaysia chili paste tastes like shrimp paste, and it’s so good with water spinach! ⛳️ Satay 46-01 Kissena Blvd, Flushing, NY 11355 Don’t order takeout! I tried it, and it’s nowhere near as good as dining in! ❌ #NewYork #NYC #NYCFood #NewYorkFood #NYCFoodGuide #NYCFoodReview #NYCFoodRecommendations #HainaneseChickenRice #NYCMalaysianFood
