The best spicy northeast barbecue made me cry!!!
This Northeast Chinese barbecue spot near Times Square has me hooked—couldn’t stop grabbing skewers! 🍢 After work, taking a bite of this is pure happiness 🥹 The signature A5 beef cubes and lamb skewers are so addictive! 🔥 Chubby Skewers is this little spot that makes me feel like I’m back at a Northeast China late-night food stall—it’s a lifesaver for study-abroad workers craving a late-night snack. Grilled skewers— 🍢 $1 a skewer! The price is amazing, so you can order freely—it’s such a good deal~ The A5 wagyu is a must, along with lamb skewers, chicken wings, grilled prawns, squid, chicken skin, beef ribs, chicken hearts… Everything’s super fresh 👍🏻 Especially the 🦐 prawns—so generous, the meat is firm and flavorful, and every bite oozes juice… The 🐑 lamb skewers are so good I could stamp my feet—perfectly marbled, with that rich charcoal aroma ✌️✌️ 🥢 Hot dishes to recommend— Grilled mantou with condensed milk is chef’s kiss, the chewy brown sugar rice cakes, enoki mushrooms in ,huge portions of sauerkraut with fatty beef, and shrimp cakes packed with meat—all so tasty! 🪑 The place is clean and spacious, skewers are grilled to order, and the service is super warm! The whole vibe is just like a casual spot back home!!
