The Best Steak on Earth? Vegas Golden Steer – A Big Disappointment

This review is all about Golden Steer Steakhouse. We went in with high expectations after seeing so many raving videos and hearing about its "best steak on earth" reputation… but honestly? It fell flat. ✨ Ambiance & Vibes Credit where it's due—the restaurant definitely has that historic, old-school charm. Dim lighting, red leather booths, walls covered with photos of famous patrons… it’s classic, vintage Vegas glamour. The golden bull sign outside is iconic and makes for a nice nighttime photo spot. 🥩 The Steak – Where Things Went Wrong 😓 We ordered the New York Strip (medium) and Ribeye (medium well), expecting greatness. But… ✖️ The medium steak was super thick, tough, and dry—completely lacking the juiciness and tenderness a good steak should have. Cutting it was a workout, and eating it was even harder… seriously?! 🙄 ✖️ The medium well steak was just… ordinary. Nothing special. Seeing "The Best Steaks on Earth" printed on the menu felt a little ironic. Did we order wrong? 🦞 Lobster Tail Looked decent and came with butter sauce, but the flavor was on the bland side. The only plus was the firm texture. 🥗 Caesar Salad Pretty standard—the only gimmick was the "tableside preparation," but taste-wise… meh. 😂 The Only “Highlight”? The $520 Bill! 💸 By the end of the meal, we were already feeling underwhelmed—then the bill arrived. With tip, it came to exactly $520! Well… I guess we celebrated a very expensive, very unique kind of “holiday” in Vegas. Consider it paying for retro nostalgia. 📝 Nuts Mom’s Take & Coming Next! Overall, Golden Steer is nice for the atmosphere and vintage Vegas photo ops. But if you’re here for actually good steak? Not recommended at all! For the same price, Vegas has so many better options. Stay tuned—my next post will share my current favorite steakhouse in Vegas! 😉 📍 Golden Steer Steakhouse 308 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102 🅿️ Parking: Their own plaza—easy to park. #VegasFoodGuide #LasVegas #VegasFood #LasVegasFoodWarnings #SteakFail #OldSchoolVegas
