The cutest hotel in New York! π₯Ή
After being dropped off in the wrong place by a taxi driver and stuck in traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge for an hour, I finally arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, looking like a mess. π ππΈ But what greeted me was, βWe have doggie beds, new food bowls, and treats. Would you like some?β I was taken aback and asked, βIs there an extra charge for that?β The front desk guy pointed to the hotel's Chihuahua logo on my back and said, βOf course not. If we charged, Penny would be unhappy.β πΏπ Ah, so Penny is the name of the Chihuahua in the logo, and the hotel is named after her. πΆ Upon checking in, I discovered a dog park in the open-air courtyard. The room featured a spacious, open coffee bar and wooden floors for dog activity, with even the carpet being removable and washable. ππΈ The bathroom had two showerheads and a specially raised splash guard. I immediately thought of how I used to wash Tutu's feet with a handheld showerhead. πΏπEven the trash cans had small lids or were hidden in cabinets, so dogs couldn't knock over the trash! It's like it was designed with dog owners in mind, right? π‘ There were countless details: from the neatly arranged yoga mats and foam rollers in the cabinet to the check-in instructions nailed to a pine board. As a designer, I couldn't stop admiring the brand, the colors, and every little detail. ππΈ And the front desk even remembered Tutu's name, giving him a good petting every time we went downstairs. πΎ I'll definitely be back! And back again! π π The Penny Williamsburg 288 N 8th St, Brooklyn, NY 11211 #TravelWithPets #PetFriendlyHotel #NewYork ππ
