The desolation of Joshua Tree Park is incredible – definitely worth th

As we approached the entrance, we noticed the strong wind and dust flying everywhere. With a “might as well” attitude, we bought tickets and entered the park. It’s magical how the wind inside was much calmer. we didn’t give up! Follow this route to see the highlights in about four hours: ➡️ Enter the park at West Entrance Station in the afternoon and head to Quail Springs. You’ll see many large trees along the way where you can pull over for photos. ➡️ The second stop is to visit the various rock formations like Cap Rock, Skull Rock, and Arch Rock. They’re not far from each other, and if you have time, you can go for a hike. ➡️ The third stop is the Cholla Cactus Garden. The cacti look fluffy, but they’re actually covered in hard, tiny spines. ➡️ At this point, heading to Keys View for the sunset might be a bit rushed. By the time you get there, you’ll only see the remnants of the sunset, but it’s still beautiful with a different color palette. Plus, you’ll see pink hues of dusk on the way. ➡️ Finally, return to Quail Springs to stargaze. Since it wasn’t summer, we didn’t have high hopes, but we were still amazed by the sky full of stars and the faintly visible Milky Way. It was mesmerizing. The entire park is huge and there’s not much inside in terms of facilities or people, so make sure to bring water, snacks, and a full tank of gas. Also, the gift shop near the entrance, Coyote Corner, has some cute fridge magnets👻 #California #PalmSprings #JoshuaTreeNationalPark #JoshuaTree #Cactus #Desert #Sunset
