The Edition Hotels in New York by Marriott(1)

I spent three nights in New York in early October, staying at two Edition hotels by Marriott in Manhattan. Both are in Midtown, so here's a quick review. I had planned to use my 85K-point Marriott voucher for another night at the St. Regis New York. 🌸🍃 But in just one year, Marriott points have significantly devalued. It now costs over 110,000 points per night, or more than $1,600 if you pay cash. It's simply out of reach. So, I had to settle for the Edition series. The New York Edition is on 23rd Street, which is a bit far from the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 82nd Street. It's not very convenient. 🌸🍃 The price is over $1,100 per night. This 85K-point Marriott voucher saved me quite a bit of 💰. There's also a nearly $50 destination fee per night. If you don't use it on the day of check-in, it's forfeited and can't be applied to breakfast the next day. 🌸🍃You can use it at the bar or for in-room dining, but you have to do so before 11 p.m. I only found out about this after having dinner outside and returning to the hotel. I should have eaten at the hotel. #NewYork 🌆
