The Golden Tokyo Ueno Toshogu Shrine 🌟
The Ueno Toshogu Shrine, established in 1627, is a Shinto shrine located within Ueno Park in Tokyo. 🎢🍃 It honors Tokugawa Ieyasu and his descendants as deities. 🌺With a history of nearly 400 years, this shrine is a testament to Japan's rich cultural heritage. 🌿 The architectural style of Ueno Toshogu is traditional Japanese. 🎢🍃 The main hall is a tall and exquisite wooden structure, with its roof and beams adorned with intricate, colorful carvings. All the pillars and doors are covered in gold leaf, making it a truly stunning sight. 🌈 🌺Arriving Too Early at Ueno Toshogu After having breakfast, I decided to take a walk. It was still early, only 8:30 a.m., when I arrived at Ueno Toshogu. The shrine hadn't opened yet, but there were already many people around, including a lot of foreigners waiting for the gates to open. 🕰️ 🎢🍃 I noticed a long line of people waiting at the entrance of the zoo, and they were mostly adults. 🌺 I found it quite interesting—do Japanese adults really enjoy visiting zoos that much? 🐙 Since the shrine wasn't open yet, we decided to take a leisurely stroll around the courtyard instead of waiting. 🎢🍃 It was a peaceful way to start the day, surrounded by the beauty of the shrine's gardens. 🌼 #TokyoLife #NotebookInspiration 🌟
