The Izu Peninsula ๐ธ๐บ
Last summer vacation, I took my mom to the Japanese countryside for the first time.๐ฟ๐ ๐ฟ๐ She's a big fan of Yamaguchi Momoe and Miura Tomokazu, so without hesitation,๐ฟ๐ ๐ฟ๐ she put on a YUKATA in our hotel in Inatori and sang "The Izu Dancer," reenacting a famous scene from "Bloody Condensation." She was over the moon! ๐ The trip was short, but the experience was fantastic. ๐ฟ๐The only downside was that people in Izu weren't great with English, so we had to rely on gestures and translation apps.๐ฟ๐ ๐ฟ๐ The whole trip could follow Google Maps, which provided clear routes and times. ๐งก Tokyo - Yokohama - Izu Inatori on the JR Tsurunogohan, about 3 hours. ๐ฟ๐At Inatori Station, we bought the JR 3-day pass. ๐ฟ๐We chose to stay in Inatori because of the excellent hot springs here. All rooms face the sea, and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night. The white noise is incredibly soothing.๐ฟ๐ ๐We booked breakfast and dinner to experience a full-board stay, unlocking various ways to enjoy the golden eye snapper. ๐The highlight: soaking in the Pacific-facing open-air hot spring โจ๏ธ. After soaking, your skin feels incredibly smooth. #Tokyo #Izu ๐ธ๐บ
