The Magical Restaurant Mastering Ambience in Greater Paris
Le Café Marly is located on the arcade next to the Louvre Square in Paris. Outdoor seats offer a zero-distance view of the Louvre Pyramid, while indoor seats allow you to admire the sculptures and artworks inside the Louvre Museum. Given its extraordinary location, people might assume this restaurant has high barriers to entry. Having visited twice during the Paris Olympics, I can responsibly tell you that it’s easy to make a reservation here, and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Le Café Marly opens at 8 AM and closes at 2 AM. With a large space and hundreds of tables, even during the peak tourist period of the Olympics, you can book a satisfactory seat with just one day’s advance reservation. Red Fruits Pavlova (the cover image) is a must-try dessert here. It’s a tower made with strawberries, blueberries, mulberries, cream, and ice cream—offering a unique experience both in terms of photography and taste. Recommended dishes: Duck foie gras and chutney: Authentic French foie gras 🦆 Avocado and tuna tartare 🥑 Veal Liver with grapes 🥩 Grilled salmon/seabass 🐟 Marly’s menu not only caters to Western palates but also considers Asian tastes. The Chicken supreme curry & chutney instantly made me feel like I was tasting the flavor of home. The waiters at Marly are extremely elegant, each looking like a movie star. When it got too hot outdoors during our meal, they even allowed me to move to a new table indoors—my goodwill was fully won over! On our first visit at noon, three of us spent 150 euros. On our second evening visit, we spent 190 euros, with an average of 40-65 euros per person 💶. This is comparable to the price of any random restaurant on the streets of Paris, making Marly truly worth visiting multiple times. Dining in the evening is the best time. The sunset shines perfectly on the Louvre’s arcade, letting you enjoy a scene straight out of a movie. After dinner, stroll and take photos in the Louvre Square and Tuileries Garden. A short walk brings you to the north bank of the Seine, where you can enjoy the evening breeze. Such is the relaxed and comfortable life of Parisians.
