The Manhattan $30 Lunch Series Strikes Again

🌟A bit of a clickbait title, because this time it’s a $38 lunch, but it’s a full 3-course meal! Greek cuisine is on the menu today! Although it’s a lunch special, the仪式感 starts right away with pita and hummus. 🌟For the appetizer, I had the salmon tartare, which seemed fresh, lightly seasoned with olive oil and served with potato chips, not greasy but with a slight fishy taste. The octopus I saw at another table looked even more delicious. Side note: the waiter’s recommended soup of the day was pretty much chicken noodle soup, which I personally think is unnecessary. 🌟The highlight of Greek cuisine is undoubtedly the grilled fish. The waiter also recommended the fish of the day, which was branzino today. I thought a whole fish was a great deal, but predictably, it was served as fillets. The de-boned fish was tender and delicious! I always struggle to make brussels sprouts at home, but the side dishes at the restaurant were mostly tasty. My friend’s chicken frites and Mediterranean salad seemed more like a bowl of vegetable rice porridge, not my cup of tea. 🌟Moving on to dessert, the only downside was the size – it was over in just a few bites before I could fully taste it. But given the price, what more could you ask for? 🌟Overall, I think it’s excellent value for money, and the restaurant being packed at lunchtime speaks volumes. If you work nearby, you should definitely give it a try. #FlushingFood #FoodDiary #NewYorkFood #GreekCuisine #GrilledFish #LunchCheckIn
