The mussels in Belgium 🇧🇪 are just too good to be true!!

🦪 ✔️The restaurant “Chez Leon” in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 is simply a treasure! ✔️This place is famous for its moule mussels. Though not a coastal city, the seafood is incredibly fresh with no fishy taste at all! ✔️Located just a stone’s throw from the Grand Place in Brussels, the restaurant is only a three-minute walk from the tourist area, with a great location. The space is large, with two floors. The decor on the first floor and the second floor is particularly beautiful! I highly recommend the seats on the second floor; if the weather is nice, sitting by the window with the sunlight streaming in is incredibly cozy! ✔️We ordered three main dishes that are quite popular and recommended by the chef. The cheese-baked mussels are not too salty, the fromage is baked to a perfect golden brown, and the super tender mussel meat oozes juice. One bite and it’s like heaven. ✔️The mussel cream pasta 🍝 is a must-try!! It’s super sweet and not at all greasy, with small shrimp and mushrooms. The cream sauce is also rich, and the portion is larger than expected. This dish is best enjoyed hot – it’s my absolute favorite. ✔️The last dish was the beef stew in red wine recommended by the staff. It’s more tender than any I’ve had in France, with a richer red wine flavor. Dipping fries in this sauce is simply a match made in heaven! ✔️Lastly, the service attitude of the staff was also great. Taking photos is no problem, and there are several spots in the restaurant that are perfect for pictures. But still, be mindful not to disturb other diners! #TreasureRestaurantShare #FoodExploration #Belgium #Brussels #EuropeanTravel #BelgianCuisine #Food #Exploring
