Two major Pokémon events are coming to San Francisco in 2026. The Pokémon World Championship and a brand new fan event called Pokémon XP . The two events are scheduled for August 28-30, 2026 , at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The world championship is an invite-only esports event, gathering Pokémon enthusiasts from across the world to compete across various game platforms. The event lasts three days, and the total prize pool totals over 2 million. Games included in the championship are the trading card game, Pokémon VGC, and Pokémon GO. The annual championships are already an exciting event that draws loyal fans and many people who want to embrace the nostalgia of the iconic game . Next year, the Championship will include even more events for fans, with the announcement of Pokémon XP .
