The Surprising City of Southern Italy: Bari
Bari was the final stop of our May Day trip to Southern Italy. We initially thought it was just a transit point for returning home, but it turned out to be a charming and severely underestimated city💖 Citywalk Route Bari is not very large. The yellow area above Bari Centrale train station is the new town, ideal for accommodation🏨. Bari Vecchia, surrounded by the coastline🌊, is the old town. You can spend half a day exploring the old town and the coast on foot. 📷Attractions • La Basilica di San Nicola a Bari (Basilica of Saint Nicholas): The most famous attraction in the city, with arched domes that seem to have a divine filter😇. • Coastline: Sitting by the sea, relaxing and spacing out, is super soothing🌅! The old port fish market is also very interesting. • Statue of Saint Nicholas: We stumbled upon a cute statue making a peace sign🤩 and later learned it was Saint Nicholas, the prototype of Santa Claus. His ashes are preserved in Bari. #Italy #SouthernItaly #Bari #RomanticLife
