The Tail End of Hydrangea Season in Kamakura 🌿
Engaku-ji Temple wrapped up its hydrangea glass exhibition on June 30th. 🍃🌸 But Engaku-ji is still highly recommended. 🌟 The Zen garden with its karesansui (dry landscape) is incredibly soothing and full of artistic charm. 🌿 If you have to choose between Meigetsu-in and Jōju-ji, go for Meigetsu-in. It's much more photogenic! 🍃🌸 Tōkei-ji is right next to Meigetsu-in and is highly recommended on my personal hydrangea map. Unfortunately, when I visited, they had all wilted. Judging by the layout of the flower beds and pathways, they must be stunning when in full bloom. 🌟The reason it's not popular on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) might be because photography is strictly prohibited throughout the area. 📸🚫 Fortunately, these last few days are the tail end of the season, so there aren't many people around. 🍃🌸 Endless summer... 🌸 #HydrangeasInBloom #EndlessSummer 🌟
