Santa Fe｜Kakawa Chocolate House Before arriving in Santa Fe, a friend highly recommended Kakawa Chocolate House, claiming it was once featured on MSN Local as “One of the Most Luxurious Places in the World to Drink Hot Chocolate.” Needless to say, my expectations were sky-high! When we visited, the staff warmly welcomed us as first-timers and offered samples of their different hot chocolate flavors. After tasting a few, we ordered a hot chocolate flight—a brilliant way to try multiple varieties. The staff even wrote the names on the tray so we wouldn’t mix them up. So thoughtful! 💕 🍫 America: Smooth, creamy, and sweet—classic hot chocolate done perfectly. 🍫 Jeffersonian: A beautiful blend between modern richness and traditional Mexican graininess. Really highlights the pure flavor of cacao. 🍫 Chili: The most intriguing one! It starts sweet, then sneaks in a slow, warm spice. A delicious surprise! 🌶️ 🍫 Megan: Infused with a delicate almond aroma—tasted like a cozy mix of childhood almond milk and high-quality chocolate. The shop also offers chocolate-dipped mangoes, chilies, and apricots 🥭🌶️, plus a wide range of truffles in both classic (caramel, sea salt, rose) and unique flavors (prickly pear, lavender, pomegranate). I wanted to take one of everything home! 🍬📦 The restroom had a quirky touch too 😄: a sign on the wall humorously warned, “We are a historic building with historic plumbing.
