The Unique Charm of a Century - Old Building ⛪️: St. George's Church

⛪️This Orthodox church with a history spanning a hundred years stands proudly on a small hill. Although the hill isn't very tall, climbing it can still be a bit tiring. 🧗‍♂️ 🌄 The exterior of the church is entirely constructed from white marble, with a green dome and white outer walls. Against the backdrop of a blue sky and lush green trees, it exudes a unique and captivating charm. 🌳💙 Inside the church, there are numerous beautiful paintings depicting biblical stories. The interior is grand and majestic, featuring murals inlaid with gold. 🖌️ 💛 On the lintel above the door, there's a painting of St.George slaying the dragon. Interestingly, the king at that time played a little trick and had his own face replace St.George's in the painting. 😜🎨 🪦The basement of the church is the burial place for kings, queens, and other dignitaries. I chose not to go down and visit it. 🙈 🎨Not far from the church, there's a small art gallery. Generally, very few people come to visit this place. 😜 Even if outsiders do drop by, they can only appreciate it on a superficial level. 🎨 🗣️Our tour guide shared some fascinating stories about the royal family with us.
