The Widest Human-Made Waterfall in the US β Idaho Falls ππΊπΈ
Today we arrived in the town of Idaho Falls and checked into a motel. Our room is surprisingly spacious β with two large beds β and super affordable at just $50 per night! ποΈπ΅ After dropping off our bags, we took a stroll to the townβs famous attraction: the largest human-made waterfall in the United States β Idaho Falls Waterfall! This impressive waterfall is actually a dam built on the Snake River (also known as ). The Snake River originates in Yellowstone National Park ποΈ, flows through Idaho Falls, and eventually joins the Columbia River. Behind the waterfall stands a stunning white temple βͺ β the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Located on the banks of the Snake River, it is the tenth temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the eighth still in active use. It was the first LDS temple built in Idaho and features a unique modern single-spire design. We watched local families enjoying time near the waterfall β one dad especially caught our attention, happily managing several kids all by himself. So much respect! π¨βπ§βπ¦π What a peaceful and picturesque little town β definitely worth a stop if youβre near Yellowstone or passing through eastern Idaho! #IdahoFalls #WaterfallLover #SnakeRiver #TravelIdaho #LDSTemple #FamilyTravel #USRoadTrip #BudgetTravel #HiddenGems
