The Wizard of Oz's Michelin One-Star!
This Italian-Mexican fusion cuisine has been on my list for a long time. It made it to Michelin One-Star in 2024 and was previously on the Best 50 list. I finally got to visit it last month during my trip. The artistic atmosphere in the Roma district is so strong, and the restaurants here are all very beautiful. I didn't expect the collision of these two cuisines to create such a surprising spark. 🍝Pappardelle I was amazed by this special cream pasta. The large pieces of chicken liver are very sweet and fragrant. The sauce paired with the wide noodles is just so fresh! The rosemary flavor is just right. The chef is truly a master at using plants. 🌽Corn tamales with celeriac and smoked cream The smoked cream corn tamales are a bit like our leaf-wrapped rice dumplings. The corn flavor is very rich and delicious. 🐖Baked suckling pig with sweet potato pureé and achiote sauce The pork is served with sweet mashed sweet potatoes. The seasoning is decent, but the essence lies in the green sauce, which is definitely worth a try. 🍃Hoja Santa I missed out on the legendary leaf dessert and I'm so regretful, I'm kicking myself for it. I was in a hurry to get to Handshake when it opened, so I couldn't stay. It should be good. #MichelinRestaurant #MexicoCity #FoodieUniverse #HiddenGemRestaurant #MichelinOneStar #MexicoCityFood
