These Paris Moments I’ll Miss Once I Leave – 2024 🍀 Tuileries Garden
🌿 So glad I managed to book a spot to see the torch platform in Tuileries Garden. I thought I’d grown used to so much in Paris—after all, I’d wandered its streets enough to recognize the way sunlight slants through the plane trees at dusk, and I’d even seen the Olympic hot-air balloon torch platform from the outside many times, catching glimpses of its golden glow while strolling along the Seine or passing by on a bus. But stepping into the garden and seeing it up close? It still took my breath away. The balloon, with the Olympic flame flickering gently beneath its billowing fabric, floats just above the garden’s central fountain—its warm orange hue contrasting softly with the green of the lawns and the pale stone of the surrounding statues. Even the way the light hits it, turning the edges of the balloon into something almost ethereal, feels like a little piece of magic, like Paris is tucking a special memory just for those who take the time to step in.😑😑😑 🌿 It always starts with the scenery, doesn’t it? You come for the big, obvious beauty—the torch, the perfectly trimmed hedges, the way the garden opens up like a green carpet leading toward the Louvre. But then you get drawn in by the people in it: the old couple sitting on a bench, sharing a baguette and pointing up at the balloon; the kids chasing pigeons, their laughter mixing with the rustle of leaves; the artist with a sketchbook, trying to capture the way the flame dances in the wind. You lean against a stone balustrade, watching it all, and before you know it, the sun has shifted, and the shadows are longer, and you’ve stayed for ages. My mind feels so peaceful here—no rush to check the next landmark off a list, no buzz of planning. Just the quiet thrum of a city pausing, for a moment, to enjoy something beautiful.🤣🤣🤣 🌿 I took so many photos that day—close-ups of the torch’s flame, wide shots of the balloon against the Paris skyline, even a blurry one of that laughing kid mid-run. I know these photos will be the ones I flip through whenever I miss Paris after leaving. They won’t just show the torch or the garden; they’ll hold the feeling of it—the warmth of the sun on my shoulders, the faint sound of a street musician playing a accordion in the distance, the way the air smelled like fresh grass and pastries from a nearby café. They’ll be little time capsules, letting me step back into this quiet, golden afternoon whenever I need to. 2024 Paris memories 🍀 #Paris #Paris2024Olympics #ParisTravel #TuileriesGarden #FrenchGarden #OlympicGames #SlowLife
