Third Visit to OKDONGSIK ๐
A friend invited me to try a Michelin-rated restaurant, so I came prepared with an empty stomach, ready to indulge in a 20-piece sushi set. ๐ฃ ๐As soon as I walked in, I took a deep breath and was overwhelmed by the warm aroma of rice and meat. Once seated, I realized the entire menu only offers two dishes: rice porridge and spicy dumplings. For two people, I recommend ordering one bowl of porridge each and sharing a plate of four spicy dumplings. Follow the chefโs advice: dip the pork in the spicy sauce, but donโt mix the sauce into the broth. ๐ The broth is perfectly balanced and not greasy at all. If you love pork, youโll probably enjoy it. I personally think itโs made with pork trotter meat. ๐ ๐ขThe soup is piping hot, best enjoyed slowly with a side of iced buckwheat tea and kimchi. But even with the leisurely pace, the meal is over in less than half an hour. ๐ธAfter this lunch, I spent the entire afternoon feeling content, even burping comfortably. Itโs both a Michelin experience and a snack you can come back for whenever you crave it. Iโve brought both my family and my parents here, and they all loved it. ๐ OKDONGSIK Address: 13 E 30th St, New York, NY 10016 ๐ฐ Average Cost: $30 โณ Booking through Google Maps or Resy is more reliable. Itโs easier to get a reservation at lunchtime, while dinner requires booking several days in advance. #KoreanCuisine #NYCKoreanFood #FoodieAdventures ๐๐
