This Japanese Restaurant in Pasadena Must Be on Your Must-Eat List! ๐Ÿฃ

I stumbled upon a friend's IG story, and just from the photos, I could tell the dishes were not only beautifully plated but also super fresh. My sushi-loving brain couldn't resist, and I had to go immediately! After finishing my meal, I was just baffledโ€”seriously baffledโ€” why did it take me so long to discover such an amazing Japanese restaurant?! ๐Ÿ  Umi Sashimi โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… The chef's choice sashimi with 24 pieces came with a small bowl of fish roe. Each slice was thick-cut, super fresh, and huge!!! They felt 1.5 times larger than those at some other Japanese restaurants!!! The restaurant even provided nori and rice for DIY rolls, but as a sashimi lover, with so much fresh sashimi in front of me, who cares about rice?! ๐Ÿš Hotate Crudo โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… Large scallop sashimi paired with yellow kiwi slices. Fresh, tender, and slightly sweet, it felt like eating jellyโ€”so refreshing! ๐Ÿฃ Sushi โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† We ordered four different types of sushi: Toro, Scallop, Yellowtail, and Amber Jack. All were delicious! The scallops were hugeโ€”no wonder they call them "giant scallops" lol. The Toro was super fatty, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The Yellowtail was firm and succulent, and the Amber Jack was fresh and tender. I have to say again, the quality of their fish is truly amazing! ๐ŸŒฎ Spicy Tuna Tartare โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… Spicy tuna tartare on crispy fried wonton chips, topped with tempura crumbs. The crispy texture of the chips paired perfectly with the soft tuna tartare. The spicy mayo and sriracha on top were so harmonious. A delightful and refreshing appetizerโ€”my brother couldn't stop eating it! ๐Ÿฃ Taheati Roll โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† A uniquely shaped roll with spicy tuna inside. The crispy fried onion strings on top added so much flavor to the roll! ๐ŸŸ Grilled Unagi โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… Grilled eel is one of my favorites. The charred aroma, the sweet eel sauce, paired with the succulent and fatty eelโ€”this combination is just perfect. It has the perfect balance of fishy, smoky, and sweet flavors. So good! ๐Ÿก Takoyaki โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† A common dish at Japanese restaurants, it's hard to mess up, but it's also not easy to make it really good. This one had a crispy outer skin and soft, moist interior without being too mushy. You could really taste the freshness of the octopus. The texture was so rich! My brother kept praising it. #LosAngelesLife #LosAngelesEats #LosAngeles #LosAngelesFoodie #LosAngelesTravel #LosAngelesFun #LosAngelesJapaneseFood #Pasadena #PasadenaFoodie #FeedThePhoneFirst
