This Las Vegas Japanese Spot Is Seriously Good đ¶âš
I usually eat on the Strip when in Vegas, but this time I took a cab to try the much-recommended Rakuâand it was a delicious surprise! Price is on the higher side depending on what you order, but worth it. Top Recommendations: 𩱠Foie Gras â Incredibly smooth, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth. If ordering skewers, get a bowl of rice too (they also have foie gras rice). The slightly charred surface with a touch of sweet foie gras glaze is perfectionâdonât miss it if youâre a fan! đ„© A5 Wagyu â Juicy, flavorful, every bite is pure pleasure. Topped with a hint of wasabiâeven if you donât like wasabi, itâs not overpowering and adds a nice aromatic finish. Iâve had bad sashimi experiences in Vegas before (once paid $200 for a platter that tasted like plastic đ ). But here, the tuna (daily special) was surprisingly freshâespecially the fatty cut. I joked with the server: âDid the chef go fishing after we ordered?â Served with a small piece of black seaweedâtastier than soy sauce! đ„ Poached Egg with Uni & Ikura â Mixed it all togetherârich umami, tastes like the ocean đ. Could use a bit more uni though. đ§ Raku Tofu â A classic appetizer almost every table orders. Silky but not too softâIâd love it even more with some extra seasoning or sauce. đ” Green Tea CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e â So good! Smooth matcha flavor, not too sweet. The caramelized top is where the sweetness shines (just a bit sticky on the teeth). đ Raku 5030 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89146 #FoodReview #LasVegas #JapaneseFood #VegasEats đŁđ„
