Recently, I’ve been super inspired by food recommendations on XiaoHongShu (Little Red Book), and I finally tried Formosa Izakaya in Birmingham! I have to say, it did not disappoint! 😍 What a coincidence—just a few days ago, a friend told me how great this place was and that he always visits. And here I am, randomly picking this spot! 🍽️ I ordered four dishes, and each one was incredibly impressive: 1️⃣ Spicy Kimchi Pork Belly : The pork belly is fatty but not greasy, perfectly paired with the tangy and spicy flavor of kimchi. Every bite is pure bliss! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 2️⃣ Salt and Pepper Chicken : Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—definitely a must-order snack! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 3️⃣ Spicy Pork Ribs with Vermicelli : The signature dish lives up to its reputation! The rich and spicy broth, the soft and flavorful vermicelli, plus two huge pork ribs—this is an ultimate taste experience! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 4️⃣ Oyster and Seafood Pancake : The texture is incredibly soft and chewy. The fresh flavor of the oysters perfectly blends with the homemade Haisun sauce, with just the right amount of saltiness and spiciness.
