Three Must-Visit Mexican Conchas in New York (1)๐ฎ
These Mexican conchas are so good that I keep going back for more! ๐ I'm a huge fan of Mexican conchas, and I've shared my love for Masa Madre and Thea Bakery before. This time, I'm adding a simple neighborhood shop to the list: 1๏ธโฃ Thea Bakery ๐ฅฏ Cinnamon Coffee & Vanilla Bean Concha - $4.50 ๐ Run by Theodora's Tomer Blechman, Thea Bakery is a 2024 newcomer that adds a touch of Mexican and Middle Eastern flair. I tried two conchas: the Cinnamon Coffee and the classic Vanilla Bean. I personally loved the grown-up flavor of the Cinnamon Coffee. The bread was fluffy but not as delicate as I would have liked. ๐ 2๏ธโฃ Mi Mexico Pequeno ๐ฅฏ Concha with Nutella - $2, Regular Concha - $1 ๐ This little Mexican shop is a hidden gem I discovered on my way home from Brooklyn. It looks like a grocery store from the outside, but inside, there's a whole row of carb delights. The bread smells amazing, and there are over ten varieties to choose from. I got a Nutella-filled concha and three regular ones. The top layer was perfectly crisp, and the bread was dense and filling. However, my little one prefers a lighter, airier texture. ๐ฅง 3๏ธโฃ Neighborhood Gem (TBD) ๐ I'm always on the lookout for more hidden treasures in New York. If you have any recommendations for another great place to get Mexican conchas, let me know! ๐ #NewYork #ConchaLovers ๐๐ข
