Tokyo's 5th-Ranked, Mind-Blowing Soy Sauce Ramen "Mugi Naoko" 🌟
On a chilly day, I took a 45-minute subway ride and arrived at 10:00 a.m. I didn't get my numbered ticket until 10:30, then spent another 2.5 hours in a café before finally getting a seat at 1:15 p.m. There's no other way around it—Mugi Naoko Homemade Ramen, ranked 5th in all of Japan with a score of 3.95, is worth the wait. The shop has only nine seats, and it's run single-handedly by the owner, Fuka Shindai. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely! 🍜 The ramen at Mugi Naoko features a golden, crystal-clear broth that's incredibly complex. It's made with Yamagata Jidori chicken, Mizusumashi chicken, and six types of soy sauce as the base. It also includes pork 🐷, A4 Kuroge Wagyu 🐂, dried fish 🐟, and vegetables, all simmered together to create a rich, deep, and layered broth. Despite its complexity, the broth has a pure, transparent quality with a profound aftertaste that's hard to describe in words. It's rich, sweet, and meaty, yet it doesn't leave you thirsty. The addition of carefully prepared hand-fired katsuobushi (bonito flakes) enhances the flavor even more. Almost everyone drinks the last drop of the broth—it's truly divine! 🌟 #Tokyo 🌆🌟
