Tokyo | How to Take Photos at Sunshine Aquarium in Ikebukuro? (1)🌊
I have to say, taking photos at an aquarium is even more challenging than capturing fireworks... 🍃🌸 The lighting at the fish display areas is quite complicated and harsh, and the glass is reflective. 🌊When you look at the fish with your eyes, they are incredibly beautiful—colorful and stunning. However, once you get into the frame, the light on your face becomes a mess, with stark contrasts between light and shadow. 🍃🌸 It's frustrating! So, I decided to try taking photos in the dark jellyfish exhibition room. 🌟 🌊The jellyfish exhibition room is a separate space. Although it's very dark, the only light is the one that shines on the jellyfish, without any other distracting beams. 🍃🌸 I had to crank the ISO up to 4000 to get a decent exposure. To make the images softer, I gave up my beloved Z 50mm f/1.8 lens and switched to an AI-S 50mm f/1.2 lens. 🌊 The larger aperture helps with the low light, even though it sacrifices some image quality for a better atmosphere. I also brought along an AI-S 35mm f/1.4 lens. 📸 #SunshineAquarium
