Tokyo Art Exhibition π¨ | National Museum of Modern Art | TRIO
ππΊDuring my only half-day of free time, my like-minded colleague and I quickly agreed that, between shopping and visiting an exhibition, we'd prioritize the exhibition! ποΈβ‘οΈπΌοΈ We headed to the National Museum of Modern Art for a special triennial exhibition, featuring works from three different art museums. ππ’ I had previously seen the works of Yoshitomo Nara in Shanghai two years ago, and this time, the exhibition also included pieces by Matisse, Picasso, Yayoi Kusama, and over 100 other artists. There were more than 150 works on display, including paintings, sculptures, prints, sketches, photographs, and videos. π¨π The exhibition was incredibly rich in content, and I felt like I was soaking up so much knowledge! ππΈ Since I was in a foreign country, I rented an audio guide π§, which turned out to be very helpful. Without having done any prior research on the artworks, the guide's explanations and insights allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the pieces on display. It was like learning on the go! π ππΊ #TokyoNationalMuseumOfModernArt π
